Lair ‘O the Bear, Morrison

Question: I’m looking for some family friendly hikes/walks around here (we have a toddler). We’d be willing to drive, but not more than about 2hrs away. Suggestions?
Response: We visited “Lair ‘O the Bear” in Morrison awhile ago and it was beautiful! It’s about 35 min. from Broomfield - we googled directions which were easy to follow. There is a trail that follows a stream and there are so many places for kids to play/throw rocks in the water, cross bridges, etc. I hear that there is another trail that leads up to a castle, but our kids weren’t up for that quite yet! 10/09
Alluvial Fan, Rocky Mountain National Park

Response: We went on a hike a couple of weekends ago in Rocky Mountain National Park called Alluvial Fan. It’s a really easy hike, our toddler was able to do it by himself, and it ends at a waterfall. There are lots of boulders and area for kids to run around and it’s beautiful! 10/09
Rattlesnake Gulch Trail, Eldorado Canyon State Park

Question: Hi. We would like to take our kids (9 and 7) on a hike in the next week or so and wondered if any of you have an idea of where to go. Thanks.
Response: Our kids really like Rattlesnake Gulch Trail in Eldorado Canyon State Park near Boulder. I think it was around 3 miles and we got to see the ruins of an old hotel. You should try it out! 7/10
