Scales and Tails

Question: My boys are obsessed with frogs and turtles, so we’ve been thinking about getting them one or the other as a pet.  Do any of you know if there are rules about owning these types of animals?  Do you have any recommendations for where to buy them?

Response: Definitely check with your city to see what animals are allowed!! Turtles are cute but really quite gross. They poop in the water and so it gets dirty pretty fast. We have never had frogs. I’d imagine they would be pretty cool but I don’t know. Crickets are about 4 cents each.  I would get animals at scales and tails off 104th.    2/10
