Savory Spice Shop, Boulder

No doubt some of you have heard about this local gem: Savory Spice Shop. I’ve heard it mentioned a few times since we moved here and I finally stopped by this past week. And I was not disappointed! They had everything from pure spices to blends to extracts, as well as some really great tools. Here’s a bit about the shop:
Savory Spice Shop is locally owned and offers a large variety of seasonings and spices. Their spices are ground fresh on the premises in small, weekly batches, so that they can offer the freshest possible product. The more than 140 seasonings are original recipes and are hand-blended on-site. Both are offered for sale in as little as a half ounce and in either bags or bottles. Savory Spice Shop also offers extracts, sauces and more. From their site:
“In April 2010 Savory Spice Shop had the unbelievable experience of having our own show on the Food Network. We filmed six episodes of Spice & Easy which Janet (one of the owners) hosted and was set in our shops and our home kitchen. It featured many of the recipes that we have created using our spices and seasonings. It also focused on taking classic recipes and giving them new life by infusing them with new flavors.”
Savory Spice Shop now has four Denver and area locations: Boulder, two in Denver, and Littleton. Click here to see their addresses. If going to their actual shops isn’t an option for you, they actually do sell their products online via their website: www.savoryspiceshop.com. Because they offer their products online, you can go to their site and see what they have available. Of course, it’s even better to see it all in person! I found that the staff member at the Boulder shop was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. I was able to find what I needed in no time at all. 10/11
